Big news: Herd Security has been selected as a finalist in the inaugural Okta Startup Challenge.
Out of startups across the United States building on the cutting edge of identity, privacy, and security, Okta chose three finalists to pitch live at Oktane 2025 in Las Vegas — and we're one of them. We couldn't be more energized to be in that room.
What Is the Okta Startup Challenge?
Okta — the world's leading identity and access management platform — launched this challenge to discover the most promising early-stage startups building identity-enabled applications. The competition draws on Okta's deep network of identity experts, enterprise practitioners, and venture capitalists to surface companies solving real problems in security and access management.
Finalists were selected for their innovative use of identity-enabled workflows, and will compete live at Oktane 2025, taking place in Las Vegas September 24–26, 2025. The winner takes home prizes and gains access to Okta's global network of identity experts and investors.
Being named a finalist — alongside just two other startups nationwide — is a meaningful signal that the problem Herd Security is solving is one the industry is urgently paying attention to.
Why This Matters for Financial Institutions
The threats facing financial organizations have evolved faster than most security stacks can keep up. Today's attacks aren't just technical — they're human.
